The solar plexus is where your ego either matures or keeps you small. This is the chakra of confidence, authority, gut instinct, and the micro choices that build your self-esteem over time. In mediumship, it is also where most people leak their power without realizing it.

The Qualifier Problem: What Happens in Your Solar Plexus When You Say "I Don't Know"

Try this right now. Say out loud: "I don't know, but..."

Notice what happens in your body around your solar plexus.

Now say: "What I know to be true is..."

Feel the difference?

That shift in your gut is your authority speaking. The solar plexus is your gut instinct center, and when we use qualifying language in readings "I don't know but," "I'm not sure," "I wonder if," "I don't typically get this type of thing" we are not just being humble. We are filtering spirit through our fear of being wrong.

I read a book called Playing Big by Tara Mohr, a Harvard business professor, and one chapter on communication changed how I work. She goes deep into why women in particular use protective language qualifiers, padding, hedging as a way to soften potential rejection before it even arrives. That language does not belong in mediumship. It is a filter that keeps you from real flow with spirit.

It is not what you say. It is why and how you say it. You will know the difference. You will know if a qualifier is there to protect you from inaccuracy, to protect you from rejection, or whether it is just natural flow. The intention is everything.

The Solar Plexus Is the Center of Ego Maturation

This is not about getting rid of your ego. It is about maturing it.
The ego that needs to be right all the time, that hedges every statement to protect itself from embarrassment that is an immature ego. And it shows up constantly in developing mediums. I know because it showed up constantly in me.
God forbid Virgos be wrong. I used to say things like "I don't typically get this type of information but..." as a way to pre-apologize for any inaccuracy before it arrived. That was not humility. That was my ego building a safety net.
Real confidence in mediumship is not about always being right. It is about trusting that what is coming through is coming through for a reason, and saying it without apology.

The micro choices matter enormously here. Every time you qualify unnecessarily, you leak a little power. Every time you say what you know to be true with clarity, you build a little more self-esteem. The spiritual law of compound effect works in finances and it works here too. Small choices made consistently become who you are.

Here is something that freed me: I am not the medium for everybody.

There have been readings where I could not connect with the person my client wanted to reach. I could not force it. I am just not their person for some reason. And I have learned to be okay with that.

Someone once did not hire me because I wore black. Someone else hired me because I wore black. You cannot control any of that.

Over 8 billion people on this planet. We all bleed, we all grow, we all go home, we all lose someone. Everyone has a need for mediumship. But everyone has a different need for mediumship. Some people need endless empirical evidence. Others need emotional healing. Others need humor. Others need the quiet dignity of knowing their person is okay.

The spirit world needs mediums to be different from one another. That is not a flaw in the system. That is the design.

I teach the way I teach because I do not want to take you out of your nature. You were brought to this path because of who you are. Something about the way you experience the world, the losses you have lived, the empathy you carry, the specific texture of your consciousness that is what makes you irreplaceable as a channel.

Do you know what is unique about you? That is your solar plexus question. Sit with it.
